Welcome to our 1.12.0 release! It’s a bug fixing bonanza with over a hundred bugs fixed that focus on performance, crashing, and mobs. There’s also a few helpful additions like an increase of the frequency and volume of the ambient mob sounds made during raids to make them easier to locate. We also added the Wandering Trader sounds! Another feature is that Realm owners can now set relevant permissions for players invited to their Realm. For all of the mapmakers and add-on makers out there, we added quite a few new features but you'll need to have the Experimental Gameplay toggle activated on the world to use them. Some of these features include the ability to add new simple blocks, add new simple items, add custom crafting recipes, new data-driven particles, new data-driven animations, and much more!

While there are lots of bug fixes based on your reports (and there’s no possible way we can list them all here) on bugs.mojang.com, we have pulled out a few of the bug fixes you might find useful and listed them below. You can find the full changelog at aka.ms/mcchangelogs. Don't forget to give us your feedback and suggestions on feedback.minecraft.net (or click the feedback button in the game) or chat with us about the update on discord.gg/Minecraft
